Level Up Your English: Unleash "The Gamer’s Mindset"!
Have you ever wondered why we don't feel defeated when we lose a level in a video game? We simply hit "Try Again", learn from what went wrong, and keep playing until we win! So why should we feel frustrated or embarrassed when we make a mistake in English?
During our recent English Morning Assembly, our English Panel Head, Ms. Janice Wong, stepped onto the stage alongside Addi from Class 4C to share an exciting, game-changing topic: The Gamer’s Mindset!
Together, they shared how adopting a gamer's perspective can completely transform the way we learn English:
•Mistakes Are Just "Game Overs": Getting defeated in a game is totally normal. In English, making a mistake isn't a failure—it's just a sign that you're playing and trying!
•Practice Earns You "EXP": Every time you speak, try a new word, or correct a mistake, you gain Experience Points (EXP) to level up your language skills.
•Enjoy the Quest: When you view English learning as an interactive game, the fear of making mistakes disappears, and the fun begins!
Addi and Ms. Wong gave us a brilliant reminder: shift your mindset, treat English like an exciting game, and you will soon find yourself loving every step of the journey!
